We are very impressed with the technical approach Cahaba Riverkeeper takes in protecting the Cahaba. They're also not afraid to identify and tackle the big issues. One way they identify the big issues is by putting their "boots on the ground." One of their main goals is to ensure that everyone has access to information related to the health of the river. This allows all to make an informed decision on when, where and how to enjoy the Cahaba. Their efforts, outlined below, led to 512 samples collected. These samples are tested, leading to an extensive database of vital information that is available to all.
